A/Prof Rutherford is Deputy Director of the Quality of Life office and Senior Research Fellow, University of Sydney; Co-Editor-in-Chief of the Quality of Life Research Journal; and scientific advisory committee member of the Primary Care Collaborative Cancer Clinical Trials Group (PC4), and the Psycho-oncology Co-operative research Group (PoCoG). With a PhD in Health Outcome Measurement she specialises in patient-reported outcome (PRO) assessment, including health-related quality of life and symptom burden. Her current research interest is in implementing the routine collection of PROs in colorectal cancer care for individual patient decision-making and service evaluation.
