Robert Weatheritt
Garvan Institute of Medical Research, NSW, Australia

Robert Weatheritt was awarded his PhD from the European Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL) in Heidelberg for studying the role of intrinsically disordered regions (IDRs) in signalling. Afterwards, he accepted a postdoctoral position at the University of Toronto and the MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology (LMB) to investigate the interplay between IDRs and alternative splicing. Since late 2018, he has been an EMBL Australia group leader and an ARC Future Fellow at the Garvan Institute of Medical Research in Sydney. Robert's group combines computational and experimental approaches to study the impact of RNA regulation on proteomic complexity within disease and across evolution.
