Melissa McEnallay (MPH, BHealth) is the Research Manager for an NHMRC-funded partnership project Care to Quit. The Care to Quit trial is led by Professor Christine Paul at the University of Newcastle and aims to embed smoking cessation care into nine public cancer services in NSW and Victoria. Extending on this experience, Melissa is now pursuing a PhD using implementation science theories and frameworks to explore practical, adaptable, and influential strategies to support the entire cancer care team in addressing holistic health behaviours—such as smoking cessation—as a standard practice.
