As Head of the Cell Plasticity and Drug Resistance research group at the University of Sydney, I lead a specialized team dedicated to solving the central crisis of modern oncology: therapeutic failure. My work is defined by a strategic commitment to high-impact discovery and the advancement of medical science through rigorous, visionary leadership.
My research focuses on the molecular architecture of cell plasticity. We interrogate the specific mechanisms that allow cancer cells to evade therapy through phenotypic switching. By decoding these pathways, my laboratory identifies new therapeutic vulnerabilities, aiming to architect the next generation of resilient, long-term cancer treatments.
Beyond the laboratory, I lead the development of the next generation of scientific talent as a Senior Lecturer. My influence extends to systemic advocacy for Women in STEMM, where I drive initiatives to dismantle institutional barriers and foster equity. As an author and advocate, I am a vocal proponent for redefining the public and professional narrative of cancer biology to align with contemporary scientific reality.
I operate with the conviction that medical breakthroughs require both technical precision and a bold approach to problem-solving. I am focused on driving the innovations that transform patient outcomes and set new standards for academic rigor. I welcome strategic partnerships and international collaborations that push the boundaries of clinical and medical innovation.
