Kate Guan is a postdoctoral researcher from the Translational Cancer Metabolism Laboratory led by Prof. Jeff Holst. She was awarded her PhD from the University of New South Wales in 2017. Her current research focuses on the role of amino acid uptake by cancer cells and cancer metabolism in prostate cancer, breast cancer and melanoma to elucidate nutrient stress signalling pathways regulating cancer cell survival and ultimately develop novel strategies for cancer therapy.
