Aziz’s PhD project aims is applying a bioinformatics approach to search for microbial proteins in the human plasma by analysing mass spectrometry data. The approach will be further applied to identify biomarkers for early disease detection of latent infectious diseases, such as latent Tuberculosis (LTB), and cancer.
