Cancer Institute NSW

About the Cancer Institute NSW
As the state government agency taking a lead in cancer control in NSW, the Cancer Institute NSW brings together partners across health, government and community to lessen the impact of cancer in NSW.
The Institute is uniquely placed within the health system to drive evidence-based improvements across the spectrum of cancer control, with an aim to keep people well and ensure that people treated for cancer have the best chance of a positive outcome.
We encourage and support individuals and communities across NSW to take action to reduce their cancer risk and find cancers earlier.
We collaborate to affect change, with networks stretching from grassroots community groups and not-for-profits, to other government bodies and national and international experts in cancer.
We are a source of cancer expertise for the government and the health system, harnessing insights and evidence on cancer to drive quality and system improvements in health services. We also invest in cancer research that fosters innovation, builds workforce capability and reduces the burden of cancer in NSW.
