University of Sydney Cancer Research Network: Applying Aboriginal Ways of Teaching and Learning to Enhance Consumer Engagement in Cancer Treatment and Research.
Workshop led by Aunty Yvonne Hill, Uncle Allan Hall, Uncle Cecil See (workshop co-chairs Dr Emma Webster and Aunty Louise Brown)
PRESENTED BY: University of Sydney Cancer Research Network
Whether clinicians or researchers, we are all committed to improving cultural responsiveness in healthcare. But HOW do you DO this? We invite you to join us to learn about an Aboriginal Way of teaching and learning known as ‘8 Ways’ and to workshop how you might bring these 8 processes into your health programs, projects and services. This workshop is a taster to introduce you to the 8 processes, consider which of these you already use (without even knowing it!) and bring new insights to improve cultural responsiveness and enhance consumer engagement in the services or programs you deliver.
